Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ULC Toolkit (“the App”, package name pk.edu.ulc.toolkit) collects, uses, and stores information. The App is an independent campus toolkit for students and teachers and is not affiliated with University Law College or the University of Balochistan.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may process:

• Account data — full name, email address, password (encrypted/hashed by our auth provider), role (student or teacher), and optional roll number.
• Profile data — optional profile photo and academic profile details you enter.
• Academic content you create — cover pages, applications/letters, award lists, GPA entries, timetable entries, semester records, transcripts, class rosters (roll number and name), attendance, and marks.
• Files you generate or upload — PDFs/images used for roster import (OCR), and documents saved in My Files.
• Device storage data — local app data stored on your device (for example localStorage / IndexedDB) so tools work offline or between sessions.

We do not sell personal data. The App does not show third-party advertising networks.

3. How we use information

• To create and secure your account (login, logout, password reset).
• To provide App features (covers, letters, syllabus, award lists, GPA, timetable, student dashboard, teacher desk).
• To sync and restore your saved records when cloud sync is enabled.
• To generate PDFs/Excel files that you choose to export or share.
• To improve reliability and fix errors.

4. Where data is stored

• On your device — many tools work without an account and may store data locally on the phone or browser.
• In the cloud — when you sign in, account and synced academic data may be stored using our backend provider (Supabase), which processes data to provide authentication and database services.

Teacher marks and attendance remain private to that teacher’s workspace. Shared session rosters are limited to roll number and student name for classroom coordination.

5. Permissions

The App may request access needed for features you choose to use, such as reading files/photos for roster import (OCR) or saving/sharing generated PDFs. We do not use permissions for unrelated tracking.

6. Sharing

We share data only when needed to operate the App:

• Infrastructure/auth/database providers that host account and sync services.
• When you yourself export, download, print, or share a file.
• If required by law.

7. Data retention & deletion

We keep account and synced data while your account remains active. In the App, open Account → Settings → Delete my account (students and teachers) to permanently delete your login and cloud data. Full deletion instructions: Delete Account page. You may also request deletion by emailing saifagha389@outlook.com. Local device data can be cleared by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for college students and teachers. It is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us to remove it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures (including encrypted transport and provider-managed authentication). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
